It is a privilege to participate in Intercollegiate Athletics at UT Dallas. Student-athletes will uphold the highest level of ethical standards. Student-athletes are strongly encouraged to report any factual or potential UTD, NCAA, or conference rule violations, including all situations of harassment, abuse, alcohol/drug abuse, or other concerns to the University, the Director of Athletics, the Athletics Compliance Team, and/or your coaching staff. Participation in such activities could adversely affect your academic success and athletics participation.
UT Dallas is committed to institutional control of the athletics program with regard to all rules and regulations established by the NCAA, by the conferences of which UT Dallas is a member, and by the University. The institution is responsible for monitoring all aspects of its athletics programs to ensure compliance. If any areas in which a failure to maintain compliance with NCAA rules and regulations are identified, violations will be reported to the University, conference, and the NCAA. In such cases, UT Dallas will fully cooperate with the NCAA and take the appropriate corrective measures. This responsibility is a collective endeavor that is shared by athletics department staff, student-athletes, University administration, individuals and groups representing the athletics interests of the institution.
It is each individual's responsibility to positively commit to all University, conference, and NCAA policies, procedures, and legislation.
